Noise Tailoring in Memristive Filaments

چکیده

In this study, the possibilities of noise tailoring in filamentary resistive switching memory devices are investigated. To end, resistance and frequency scaling low-frequency 1/f-type properties studied representative mainstream material systems. It is shown that overall floor tailorable by proper choice, as demonstrated order-of-magnitude smaller levels Ta2O5 Nb2O5 transition-metal oxide memristors compared to Ag-based devices. Furthermore, variation states allows orders-of-magnitude tuning relative level all these This behavior analyzed framework a point-contact model highlighting possibility for disorder-induced suppression contribution arising from remote fluctuators. These findings promote design multipurpose units, which can simultaneously serve analog-tunable elements tunable sources probabilistic computing machines.

Observation and optical tailoring of photonic lattice filaments.

We demonstrate, for the first time, that photonic lattices support a new type of laser filaments, called lattice filaments (LF). The LF attributes (length, width, and intensity) can be tailored by both varying the photonic lattice properties and also dynamically through the interaction between filaments. This opens the way for extensive all-optical control of the nonlinear propagation of intens...

Changing the state of a memristive system with white noise.

Can we change the average state of a resistor by simply applying white noise? We show that the answer to this question is positive if the resistor has memory of its past dynamics (a memristive system). We also prove that, if the memory arises only from the charge flowing through the resistor-an ideal memristor-then the current flowing through such memristor cannot charge a capacitor connected i...

“Modeling Memristive Biosensors”

In the present work, a computational study is carried out investigating the relationship between the biosensing and the electrical characteristics of two-terminal Schottkybarrier silicon nanowire devices. The model suggested successfully reproduces computationally the experimentally obtained electrical behavior of the devices prior to and after the surface bio-modification. Throughout modeling ...

Capacity, Fidelity, and Noise Tolerance of Associative Spatial-Temporal Memories Based on Memristive Neuromorphic Networks

We have calculated key characteristics of associative (content-addressable) spatial-temporal memories based on neuromorphic networks with restricted connectivity—“CrossNets.” Such networks may be naturally implemented in nanoelectronic hardware using hybrid memristive circuits, which may feature extremely high energy efficiency, approaching that of biological cortical circuits, at much higher o...
